A ‘company’ of young directors, featuring some of Warrnambool’s most extraordinarily and talented musical theatre peeps, have come together to direct Holiday Actors third mid year musical, Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s Company.
Holiday Actors Young Directors Gabby Good (Director), Eden Agnew and Will Bonney (Co-vocal Directors), Jack Quail (Musical Director) and Sarah Hall (Choreographer), have combined years of personal experience in musical theatre and music to bring to life a comedy that features exquisite music, scintillating lyrics and a witty and illuminating dialogue.
“Company is full of our region’s incredibly talented young people, and as first time directors, we are rivalling in all the challenges and rewards of undertaking such a diverse and complex musical,” Gabby Good, Director said.
“Holiday Actors boast a legacy of supporting and encouraging our region’s young people to use and grow -their talents, and our community based theatre company, is blown away by this team of young directors, whose ages vary from 17-19 years,” Holiday Actors President Mick Downes said.
Company deals with life’s tumultuous friendships and relationships, and finding somewhere to belong in both a touching and humorous way, making the show universally appealing. Due to mild course language and some adult themes, the show is suitable for people aged over 13 years.
The show will open on 8 June, and tickets are now on sale, and can be purchased from the Lighthouse Theatre.
